How to get involved

GEPS is integrated by undergrad, grad students and post-doc fellows. The undergrad students, with or without scholarships, participate in all activities of the projects held by the coordinator, the grad students and the post-doc fellows.

GEPS has general meetings, in which different activities are developed, such as presentation of group projects, discussion or research data and discussion of papers related to the group research lines.

It is expected from those interested in participating in GEPS:

Undergraduate Students

  • available time to work on the project with which he/she is involved (usually 8 to 12 hours weekly);
  • available time to participate in the group meetings (Thursday, 4:00 pm);
  • good academic performance;
  • interest in research in social psychology.

Graduate Students

  • pass the graduate student selective process
  • available time to work on his/her project (at least 20 hours of weekly dedication are needed)
  • available time to participate in the group meetings (Thursday, 4:00 pm);
  • good academic performance;
  • interest in research in social psychology.

Post-doc Fellows

  • be approved as a research fellow of PSTO program (a project must be submitted and approved by PSTO);
  • available time to work on his/her project (at least 20 hours of weekly dedication are needed)
  • available time to participate in the group meetings (Thursday, 4:00 pm);
  • available time to supervise undergrad and grad students;
  • interest in research in social psychology.

The progress of any research activity demands dedication and availability to interact with group colleagues. Therefore, it’s necessary for GEPS’s members to stay on a daily basis at the Social Psychology Lab (LAPSOCIAL) so that they can develop their academic activities and interact with other members.
